Delete your account
You can ask us to permanently delete your lettermenu account and the data connected to it. This includes menus and paired Fire TVs.
Send a deletion request
Email us from the address on your lettermenu account. This lets us confirm that the request comes from the account owner.
Email a deletion requestSend to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my lettermenu account”. You do not need to send your password.
What happens next
- We verify the request. We may reply with a reasonable identity check. We will never ask for your password.
- We disconnect your TVs.All Fire TV access tokens are revoked, so paired devices stop receiving your locations and menus.
- We delete the account.Your profile, saved palette, locations, menu boards and their public screen links are removed from the active service.
We normally complete and confirm a valid request within one month. If a request is unusually complex, the law may allow more time; we will tell you if that applies.
What may remain
Information may remain temporarily in protected backups until it is overwritten under the backup cycle. We may retain limited records where the law requires it or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, maintain security, or prevent abuse. This information is not kept in the active account.
Fire TV app data
The Fire TV app does not create a separate customer account. It stores a random device identifier, its access token and the selected location on the Fire TV. Account deletion revokes the server-side token and removes the associated account data.
To remove the local copy from the device immediately, use Fire TV Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → lettermenu → Clear data, or uninstall the app. Menu content already visible on a TV may remain on screen until the app is closed or refreshed.
Delete one TV instead
You do not need to delete your account to disconnect a television. Sign in, open Account settings, find Connected TVs and choose Disconnect.
